Alchemy
Alchemy is a crafting profession that transforms gathered ingredients and alchemical materials into potions, tonics, elixirs, and refined materials. Consumables created through Alchemy provide temporary increases to character stats, with effects and durations determined by the item.
General Information
Alchemy NPCs
Alchemy is accessed through the Alchemy tab of the Fortification and Manufacturing window, alongside the game's other equipment upgrade systems. This window can be opened either by speaking with an Alchemist and selecting Open Alchemy Interface, or directly through the character's inventory.
| NPC | Location | Service |
|---|---|---|
| Alchemy Scholar Tula | Navea | Provides access to the Alchemy interface and sells Alchemy materials |
| Apprentice Alchemist Yellen | Guild Hall | Provides access to the Alchemy interface and sells Alchemy materials |
| Replon | Estate | Exchanges Soul Crystals for Alchemy Formula Crates |
Materials
Alchemy recipes require ingredients and crafting materials. Ingredients can be gathered in the field, purchased from other players, or obtained from merchants such as Garret in Navea. Alchemists sell additional supplies used in recipes, including phials, jars, powders, and liquids.
Each craft also requires a fee paid in
Gold and
Silver. The required materials and fee depend on the selected recipe. Some recipes also include an optional slot for a Refining Modifier Item.
Recipes
Recipes determine which items a character can craft. Open the Alchemy interface and expand the Pharmacy section to browse the recipes currently available to the character.
Each recipe carries a Rating ranging from E to A. Crafting an item repeatedly increases that recipe's Rating. Recipe progress is tracked separately, meaning that crafting one item does not increase the Rating of other recipes. Once a recipe reaches Rating A, an improved version of that item may become available to learn as a new recipe.
Alchemy recipes can be learned in two ways:
- Purchasing an available recipe through the New Recipes section of the Alchemy interface.
- Using an Alchemy Formula item obtained through other game content.
New Recipes

Select New Recipes to view recipes available to purchase, then choose a recipe and pay its learning fee in
Gold. Recipes in this section begin unlocking at Level 30, with further recipes becoming available at Level 40, Level 50, and Level 60. Some improved recipes also require the preceding recipe to reach Rating A.
Learning a recipe and crafting its item are separate transactions. Once a recipe has been learned, each craft still requires the listed ingredients, alchemical materials, and crafting fee.
Alchemy Formulas
Some Alchemy recipes are learned by using items classified as Alchemy Formulas. After the formula is learned through the New Recipe interface, its recipe becomes available.
Obtaining Alchemy Formulas
Alchemy Formulas can be obtained from Alchemy Formula Crates exchanged through Replon in the Estate. Each crate costs 30 Soul Crystals.
| Exchange | Cost |
|---|---|
| Alchemy Formula #1 Crate | 30 Soul Crystals |
| Alchemy Formula #2 Crate | 30 Soul Crystals |
| Alchemy Formula #3 Crate | 30 Soul Crystals |
Soul Crystals are obtained by mining Mineral Veins through Otter Rental in the Estate.

Using Alchemy Items

Potions, tonics, and elixirs provide temporary benefits when consumed. These effects include restoring HP, increasing combat stats, reducing damage taken, increasing movement speed, removing negative effects, and increasing damage against targets of particular elements.
Some consumables require a particular character level. Check the item's tooltip for its level requirement, effects, and duration before using it.
